I am a Chicago-area diver and Diveheart volunteer. As of spring 2009, I have about 80 dives split between the cold waters of Michigan and the warm waters of the Caribbean. I’ll be providing periodic updates on Diveheart and am currently working on my HSA (Handicap Scuba Association) certification.

The purpose of Diveheart is to provide and support educational SCUBA diving and snorkeling experience programs that are open to any child, adult, or veteran with a disability with the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person.

It is the "CAN DO" spirit that Diveheart hopes to instill in all its participants by giving them the confidence and independence that allows them to face their own life challenges and overcome barriers that before might have seemed insurmountable. Through SCUBA diving, the Diveheart Foundation supports and facilitates programs that teach children and adults with disabilities to fly. Thanks to the wonder of the water column, the oceans and lakes of the world become the forgiving weightless environment of outer space, giving perfect buoyancy to a child or adult who would otherwise struggle on land.

I made a 87% on the following quiz:
Scuba Diving Hand Signals
Greg - 10/24/2013 2:13 PM
Which ones did you miss? Were there any errors on the quiz?
Tom4Diveheart - 10/24/2013 8:09 PM
I think the quiz is accurate. I missed the two on "danger", the first one on "help/need assistance", and "hold hands"

I got the images from the RSTC, so hopefully its accurate. I have never used the X danger signal so I didnt know that one.
