Went to Pensacola to dive the Oriskany & had booked 3 day with a dive operator. This was the week of June 18th. When we arrived we met the operator at MBT Dive Shop (they are not part of the charter operator), where he informed us of conditions on the Gulf & to phone him at 4PM. We phoned over the next several days but received no response to our messages. Fortunately we had not given a deposit (nor did he require one when asked). Two other operators we spoke with did return our calls & one even called to tell us of a boat leaving from Alabama which we drove to just to go diving. The folks at MBT were supper nice as were the ones from Pensacola Dive Pro. Bottom line when checking the weather check the sea conditions as well. It was great beach weather!
