"Just Dive Buddies!!"

Looking For??? Any thing with anyone that has a love for life.

Still...Working as a research/scientific diver for sink site locations, baseline studies on projects that continue with California Ships to Reefs. To help bring in more artificial reefs to dive. It’s pretty cool to descend into 95’-130’ depths of flat bottom sand with nothing there but it’s own unique micro to big bottom dwellers. Then record the info, compare and create maps, coupled with studying the differences of nearby existing reefs to project the results of the marinelife explosion that the new artificial reef is expected to create. It may sound non exciting, but it is a trip believe me!

Thank you Brian for your long answer... it is very exciting... I just applied to join the CSTR. It is sad for some people to not realized how important it is to maintain and develop our source of life... oceans. Offering harbors for ocean life is critical to help marine population thrive... it is a no-brainer... you just need to dive on a wreck once to discover how much life take advantage of the structure. Anyway... thank you for doing this work... and to welcome me so warmly. I didn’t mention on the CSTR site that I have some skills with websites... but If it is needed let me know.

I hope to meet you sometimes soon.

Friendly,

Thierry

Thank you so much for that Thierry! Looking forward to meeting you!

Thierry! I wrote a rather long response to you, too long iit covered some work situations I’m in right now, that message went into draft folder. I want to let you know the pleasure is mine that you requested dive buddy!! I’m happy to have met you, having too many divebuddies can’t happen. Thanks for your vulunteer offer as well, today went out as you know got some good data on the site. Hardcore Dive Team has been pushing for more interest in Southern Cal divers for California Ships to Reefs for a few yeas now, we’ve organized all the potential sink sites an all of Santa Monica Bay. Either local divers are too busy with their own dive schedules and things or they’d just rather not bother I don’t know which. California Ships to Reef works non stop in building new reefs for not only us, but a hundred years or more for who we care about, us, our future us, and everything about the Pacific that reaches us and the world. You might know, that CSTR here in California battles a nightmare of opposing forces, some that have no clue on the positive impact that reefs provide. I have fun doing that. The benefits are unending. Today we have a new dive research technologist, that joined in, totally thrilled about it, and highly qualified, she’s coming back, the book just opened. Met her on Divebuddy, thanks to Greg! Thierry, we’ll be diving together soon I hope, CSTR or not! Thank you.

I gotta say, the other day I was looking for a used DIN first stage regulator, (and have been for over a year, it didn’t matter if it worked or was rusted shut, bent or broken, with no body responding in that years time.) So my call went out on Facebook I was looking for that busted reg to put back into the water. A friend of mine, Paul, says Amazon has 1 for $35.00. I check it out and order 1. Then noticed the add here on Divebuddy.com. That is where Paul seen it, I’m betting. The reg was delivered...get this, not only was a brand new DIN first stage in the box, but a new second stage and the lp hose!!! $35.00 plus like $5.00 shipping!! Gotta love this network thing, even if it takes a year, the goods are going to work! Thank you, Paul, DB, Amazon!!

One more reason to join HardcoreDiveTeam, as of April 2013 any new request to Join HardcoreDiveTeam here on DiveBuddy & Facebook and our webpage with active diving gets free Customized Scuba boat trips. And we can say they are the most custom hardcore dive trips you can get anywhere. We dive always unique and rarely dived sites, never the same beachy dives, always way cool shore dives, boat dives, island dives etc! Open to all, fishing, environmental photo ops, scientific project dives, bringing new sites both fresh and salt water to the maps. The benefits do not end. We’re not looking for large "club" members numbers that don’t dive. If you join our webpage include a short bio to prevent getting thrown in the trash. Only for real divers. Or email, anyone of our many page admins, managers.

Thank you! I never understood how people can continue to use old fashion, off-the shelf forums like the vBulletin boards. To me, they look messy, with lots of ads and hard to read. I tried to keep DiveBuddy clean and easy-to-use and read. That’s one reason why I don’t allow signatures on everyone’s post, it fills a forum topic with too much useless information.

SS Avalon hit by Hardcore Dive Team/Customized Scuba on the best there is "DiverCity" on 2-18-2013 nails over 2000 fish in one shot! DiveBuddy stickers passed out to 2 of Hardcore’s most prominent scuba diving captains in Southern California, Captain Benci of DiverCity and Captain James of The Goby. Good day as always on wreck diving in Los Angeles, please go to california ships to reefs webpage or Hardcore Dive Team and sign CSTR’s petition to help them bringing new shipwrecks to Los Angeles!! Thank you.
Greg - 2/20/2013 11:02 AM
A big thank you to Captain Benci and Captain James...those guys must be really awesome!
hcdiveteambrian - 2/20/2013 11:19 AM
Yes they are Greg, like DiveBuddy.com! One concentrates North Santa Monica Bay, one concentrates South Santa Monica Bay. It’s a coverage of over 40 miles of LA’s best diving. On both vessels, Greg you have pre booked guest passes 365 days/nights a year.
Greg - 2/20/2013 12:32 PM
That’s good to know and very much appreciated. If I’m ever in the area, I’ll let you know.

HardcoreDiveTeam’s offer of a free 3 tank boat trip including lunch and air is now taken. You gotta be quick!
hcdiveteambrian - 1/25/2013 12:44 PM
Any advanced divers interested in going out on The Goby with HardcoreDiveTeam doing 1 dive each on a proposed 180ft Iris/Planetree Class Buoy Tender sink site for California Ships to Reefs to collect info, then 2 dives more each on the SS Star of Scotland or the MRD Artificial Reefs for comparison, or another freshly found wreck or reefs site that Adam C James (Goby Captain) says he recently found.

The price of this trip is totally free, comes with lunch. You can tip the Captain if you want, if funds are tight, just you being there is tip enough! The first one that responds to brian@hardcorediveteam gets it. Boat leaves Marina del Rey public boat launch Saturday Morning 1/26/13 approx 9am. One diver dropped out due to family reasons.
