My father in law died diving this weekend. I wasnt there. No one was at fault. Everything was text book perfect. My husband seems determined to get back in the water. I’m not really feeling it right now. Has anyone ever lost a dive buddy? How long would you wait before diving again?

So sorry for your loss! I lost a dive buddy/friend/student 6 years ago on a training dive, I didn’t dive again for a year. Give it time, you’ll know when you’re ready to get back in the water!

Finally got my NAUI dad back into diving. He’s a retired corpsman that started diving in 1981. Yes! We’re planning another Cozumel trip for April 2017 and a possible Kona trip for late 2016.

I am advanced open water, nox, and working on my wreck dive cert. I’m also trying to get my boat up and running and kitted for tanks by next summer. My goal is an eventual rescue certification. My spouse is also a diver and we’re always looking for trips and to meet more divers.
