I started diving in 1995 with some Army buddies while stationed in Hawaii but didn’t get certified untill "98" when I was offerd a job setting portable dams. I had no idea you were supposed to be certified untill then. No biggie, I am almost finished with my Divemaster course and will be starting the IDC soon after. For me diving is a passion and I infect as many people I can.
Well I finished Divemaster and also graduated from the Commercial Diving Academy. Let me tell you, that is a tough school. Only for the most serious divers. The knowledge you gain surpasses any that you will obtiain in recreational diving and it is way more strenuous so you have to be commited. My class started with 24 students but only 14 graduated. Bottom line for me is, I Love It. I have since started my own marine maintenance company and am planning on conducting PADI discover scuba diving classes on the side untill I get my Instructor cert and can certify new divers.
